On January 9, 2012, Ft. Meyers boxing-sensation Bryant Perrella announced that he signed a promotional deal with Top Rank Boxing, and co-promoters Pugilist Promotions and Shea Bailey Promotions, that will see him as an attraction on Fight Night Productions' cards for years to come.

“I couldn’t be happier with becoming a member of the Top Rank Boxing family and having my first professional fight in front of my Florida fans,” said Perrella. “To be with Top Rank, the same promotional company that represents some of the best fighters in the world like Manny Pacquiao, Timothy Bradley, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., Nonito Donaire, Jr., and on-and-on, is really a dream come true. I’m also grateful to be working with both Pugilist Promotions and Shea Bailey Promotions, as I begin my professional career. This is truly a great team I have around me. ”

The rangy welterweight (152 lbs.) is one of the hottest prospects in boxing, collecting an impressive 70-9 record in the amateur ranks. He has faced some of the best competition in the nation, and was invited to take part in the 2011 Olympic Trials in Boulder, Colorado, where he fought three times before dropping a decision to the eventual tournament winner, Errol Spence.

“The Olympic Trials was the best experience of my life, to this point,” added Perrella. “I was able to test my skills against some of the best fighters the United States has at welterweight and I did a lot more than hold my own. I gained a lot of confidence from that.”

Before attempting to represent the United States at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, the welterweight had strong showings in numerous amateur tournaments around the nation including three Sunshine State Games Gold Medals (2007, 2008 and 2009), a second-place finish in the World Ringside Tournament (2009) and a bronze medal at the National Police Athletic League (PAL) Association Tournament (2010).

Parrella will be making his professional debut on Friday, February 10^th, 2012, at the A La Carte Event Pavilion in Tampa, Florida, as part of Fight Night Productions and Ker’s WingHouse Bar & Grill® “Fight Night” series. 

“Friday, February 10^th, in Tampa, is going to be the first step, in hopefully a very long and successful professional career,” said Perrella. “But I’ll say this, I need my fans to be there to support me. They’ve had my back this far, so I’d really like them all to be there as I move forward.”
